I Call this one Petit GranMere which means
Grandma's Baby in Haitian Creole.

Here's the advanced recipe of how to make it.


Stop by Daytona Trimmings located at 251 W. 39th Street. (Take A, C or E train to 42nd street. Exit station from 40th street exit. Walk up 1 block to 39th street and walk down 39th street to middle of block.) Purchase a size E needle and some soft cotton baby soft yarn, one patterned, another solid colored.

Chain 37. In second chain from hook, Single crochet to end of row. You should have 36 single crochets. Make 2 more rows of this and then change from patterned yarn to the solid colored yarn.

Single Crochet in first 3 spaces. (In next space, make a long treble crochet. single crochet in the next 3 single crochets) Repeat until the end of the row. Chain 1 and turn.

Single Crochet across. At end of row, change to Patterned Yarn. Single Crochet in first space.
In next space, long treble crochet. Single crochet in next 3 spaces. (repeat from beginning of this paragraph) until you get to the last 2 spaces. Long Treble Crochet in next space and then in next space, single crochet. Chain and then turn.

Next 3 rows are all single crochets. Change yarn to solid color.

Repeat from second bullet 2 times, clip stitch in last stitch and cut.

With Patterned Yarn, skip first 12 spaces and single crochet into next space. Single crochet in next 11, chain and turn. In next row, single crochet in first 3 spaces, in next make a long treble crochet. Repeat with 3 single crochet then long treble crochet 2 more times. chain one and turn. Single crochet across amd then change to solid color yarn. Single Crochet in first space.
In next space, long treble crochet. single crochet in next 3 spaces. (repeat from beginning of this paragraph) until you get to the last 2 spaces. Long Treble Crochet in next space and then in next space, single crochet. Chain and then turn.

Next 3 rows are all single crochets. Slip stitch in last one and cut off.

With a size C needle, and patterned yarn,
single crochet across on the beginning chain row side. do not turn. Continue crocheting around until you reach frist single crochet of theis row. Single Crochet around one more time and then cut off.
